Sales Assistant and Web programmer

Part time sales role based in our shop in Victoria Park, London. A solid knowledge and interest in contemporary furniture, lighting and product design, and suitable retail experience are essential.

You will need to be well presented and have excellent customer facing skills, a good telephone manner and the ability to confidently offer professional sales advice to both retail and trade customers.

As well as handling all aspects of sales, the role will include administration such as placing orders with suppliers, invoicing, maintaining our customer database, stock control, maintaining and inputting information on our website, researching products, and keeping our shop displays looking good. Excellent computer skills and some experience with photoshop required.

You will be working closely within our small team, with the opportunity to grow within our business.

Hours will be 11am-6pm, 3-4 days a week including either a Saturday (11am-6pm) or Sunday (11am-5pm) each week as required. Some flexibility and extra days maybe be required.

Salary based on experience and hours.

Warehouse Person

A good all rounder with similar previous experience and excellent practical skills. Some driving required (medium van).

The role involves packing orders carefully and intelligently so that goods arrive to our customers undamaged, on time and well presented in a cost effective manner. You will be responsible for keeping the warehouse well organised and clean. You will check all 'goods in' and keep track of stock and enter stock levels on our system.

You will regularly move stock between our warehouse and shop, as well as some customer deliveries. You will need to be able to carry out light assembly of furniture and to help with general installation of furniture, lighting and displays in our shop as required.

You should be well presented, responsible, and self motivated. You will need to be reasonably strong and physically fit and will be expected to handle high value goods safely and carefully at all times. Experience of handling similar products preferred. A clean UK driving licence will be required.

Based primarily at our warehouse in Bow E3. You must be able to work independently and responsibly whilst being focussed on achieving goals and managing your time efficiently. Hours will be flexible depending on workload - usually 9am-4pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday 9am-12pm. Please email us a brief CV and covering letter. Indicate your salary expectations.
