Marcel Breuer was an apprentice at the Bauhaus in 1925 when he conceived the first tubular steel chair. Named for his contemporary, Wassily Kandinsky, the tubular frame was inspired by a bicycle.
Glides: Opaque plastic glides shipped with each chair for optional on-site insertion to use on hard floors.
Note:The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Marcel Breuer are stamped into the base of the chairs.
